What a spa and wellness therapist does
Spa and wellness therapists deliver the treatments that define a spa experience: facials, body wraps and scrubs, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and other services focused on relaxation and self-care. They also shape the guest experience through consultations, product recommendations and a calm, professional manner. For a spa owner, skilled and personable therapists drive repeat visits, retail sales and the word of mouth that brings in new guests.
Accurate titles matter. In Ontario, only members of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario may call themselves massage therapists, so any service offered as massage therapy should be delivered by a registered RMT, while other wellness staff should be described by the treatments they actually provide. Finch helps you set out each role clearly, then screens for training, treatment experience and guest service skills that fit your spa.
