Health and safety coordinator
A health and safety coordinator keeps your safety program working day to day. Finch finds coordinators who can run inspections, training and incident follow-up with confidence.
Finch recruits health and safety coordinators, EHS managers, environmental consultants and quality assurance managers who keep your operation compliant and your people safe.

Health, safety, environmental and quality roles protect your workers, your customers and your ability to operate. When one of these positions sits empty, inspections slip, training lapses and audit findings pile up, and the cost often appears later as an injury, a regulator's order or a lost customer. Finch takes on the search for these specialists so your operations and leadership teams can keep running the business while we find someone who knows the rules that apply to it.
We recruit for manufacturers, builders, logistics operations, consulting firms and other employers across Toronto and the GTA, and for organizations elsewhere in Canada by phone and video. Every search begins with a consultation about your sites, hazards, standards and reporting lines. Searches are retainer-based, with fees agreed per position. We then advertise, source and screen candidates, confirm designations and training, and arrange interviews with the people best suited to your role.
Workplace safety and environmental law is largely provincial, so a candidate's experience must match Ontario's rules or those of the provinces where your sites operate.
Designations such as CRSP, CRST, P.Eng. and P.Geo. carry real weight, and any claim on a resume should be confirmed with the body that grants it.
The work demands influence as well as knowledge, because these professionals must change the habits of supervisors and managers who do not report to them.
Each industry adds its own standards, from construction regulations to ISO 45001, IATF 16949 or food safety schemes, which narrows the pool of suitable candidates.
We run health, safety & quality searches for employers across Toronto and the GTA, including North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Oshawa and Pickering, and for employers across Canada.

How it works
Tell us about the role, your team and your timeline. We agree on a retainer and fees tailored to the position.
Your retainer starts the search. We advertise, source and screen candidates for you.
You meet only suitable candidates. We arrange every interview.
We manage the offer and check in after your new hire starts.
Yes. Construction projects in Ontario fall under their own regulation made under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, with specific rules for fall protection, trenching and other high-risk work. We screen for construction experience and training such as working at heights, and present coordinators who understand how a project site differs from a plant or warehouse.
In smaller organizations, one person often does. That combined role needs someone comfortable with OHSA duties, environmental reporting and a quality system, which is a less common mix. During the consultation we look at your size, risks and certifications, and tell you honestly whether one hire can carry the load or whether the scope should be split.
After the consultation and retainer, we advertise the role, approach suitable professionals directly and screen designations, training and experience against your requirements. We present a shortlist, arrange interviews at times that suit your managers, support the offer stage and follow up after the start date to make sure the new hire is settling in.
