Finch Employment

Toronto recruitmentNorth York recruitment agency for employers and HR teams

Finch Employment is based in North York, so the hospitals, corporate offices and industrial units around you are the employers we know best. We recruit professional and skilled staff on a retainer and present only screened, suitable candidates.

Nurse and medical office administrator working at a clinic front desk

Our office sits in the Steeles and Alness business area, just west of Dufferin Street and south of Steeles Avenue West, among the industrial and commercial units along Alness Street, Chesswood Drive and Supertest Road. That means North York employers can sit down with us face to face without giving up half a day. From here we recruit for clinics around Sheppard and Leslie, professional offices near Yonge and Sheppard, academic and research settings near York University, and the small and mid-sized businesses that share our own street.

North York is really several hiring markets packed close together. A nursing unit on Bayview Avenue, a property management firm near the North York Civic Centre and an engineering shop in Downsview each need very different people, and they often compete with one another for the strongest candidates. We begin every search by learning what makes your workplace distinct, then look for people whose experience, credentials and daily commute genuinely fit it, rather than forwarding a stack of résumés for you to sort.

Consumers Road and Don Mills

The Consumers Road Business Park, near Sheppard Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue, is recognized by the City for its city-wide role as a place of employment, and Don Mills was planned from the outset to put workplaces beside homes. Employers in both areas ask for software developers, IT support and sales teams, and the Sheppard subway line ends at Don Mills station close by.

Working with Finch from our North York office

Because we are in North York ourselves, an in-person consultation is simple to arrange. You can visit us by appointment, Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., or we can come to you, whether that is a nursing unit off Sheppard Avenue, a suite near Yonge and Finch or a shop floor in Downsview. Seeing your workplace helps us describe it honestly to candidates, from parking and shift patterns to the team they would be joining.

Once the consultation is done and the retainer is in place, we advertise the role and approach people directly, including North York residents who would rather stop commuting downtown. We check how each candidate would get to you, since a site near Finch West station, where Line 1 meets Line 6, draws a different pool from a business park best reached by car. Your shortlist arrives with our screening notes, we book the interviews, and we follow up after your new hire starts.
