What a physiotherapist does
Physiotherapists assess movement and function, diagnose musculoskeletal and neurological problems within their scope, and treat patients through exercise, manual therapy, education and other modalities. They help people recover from injury and surgery, manage chronic pain and stay active. For a clinic, a strong physiotherapist drives patient outcomes, builds referral relationships with physicians and keeps the schedule full through retention and word of mouth.
Physiotherapists in the GTA can choose between private clinics, hospitals, home care and sport settings, so roles need to stand out. Candidates look at caseload, mentorship, assistant support, compensation model and opportunities for further training. Finch learns about your patient mix and funders, including auto insurance, WSIB and extended health, then screens candidates for relevant experience and confirms their registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
